Loud snoring habit

i had a noisy snoring habit but i hadnt regarded it an issue, thinking that it was just a normal biological behaviour. Then a doctor advised me to consult an ENT specialist to check out my nose and throat. The sound resulted by snoring could be due to obstruction at the nasal passageway or blockage in the throat. The sound is caused by irregualr air flow and loud snoring is unhealthy in many ways. The most serious consequence is risk of stroke.

I procrastinated in making a visit to the ENT specialist recommended. Then one day i had a vertigo attack, feeling of dizziness. I suddenly felt a whirling and spinning sensation and vomited. Though it lasted for about half a day only, it signalled to me that a visit to the ENT specialist was overdue.

The ENT specialist i visited was very thorough in examining my ears, nose and throat. He did not find any abnormalities from external examination, so he suggested a scope to be done.

I was given some spray anaesthesia into my nose and throat. Then i sat in front of a monitor screen and the doctor delicately threaded the probe which carried a source of light anda camera into my nose and throat in turn. I could follow the video of the interior of my nose and throat on the monitor screen. The doctor explained his findings to me. It was just some inflammation on my inner throat, probably the result of the strain on it caused by my incessant talking during lessons.

I was only given an antihistamine drug to take and a nose spray and to be reexamined in a month's time.
