The White Pass is a mountain pass through ranges of the coast mountains on the border of Alaska and British Columbia of Canada.
The White Pass trail was one of the two main routes to reach the Klondike gold fields. During the nineteen century Klondike gold rush, flocks of outsiders converged to this region in search of the golden dream. However the pass was closely guarded by the native Indians and many gold searchers then did not survive to realize their dreams.
The White Pass railroad was built to facilitate transport of workers to the gold fields and to transport the golds out from the fields. This railroad was a multinational engineering effort. It took thousands of workers and tons of explosives and slightly more than 2 years to complete. Mountains had to be blasted literally and workers fought with the harsh weather conditions to build this 100 odd mile long railroad.
The White Pass railway is now used solely for tourist purpose.

The train will be going through ravines
