Blackcomb mountain

The big Blackcomb sign board is
the first noticeable landmark
which greets tourists who come
out from the peak 2 peak station
in Blackcomb

Blackcomb mountain and Whistler mountain are the two twin skiing resorts in Whistler.

There are gondola services to take skiers and tourists up both the mountains.

The peak to peak cable car service connecting both the mountains was ready at the beginning of last year.

Being one of the special projects designed for the 2010 winter Olympic, it is the first of its kind in the world.

Wood carving along the mountain
hiking trail serves as demarcation

One of the many wood
carvings on Blackcomb peak

Whistler side

Though the temperature at
the Blackcomb peak was below 10
degrees Celsius, after a long hike
along an uphill trail, the warming up
exercise enabled me to withstand
the cold with just a normal
t-shirt
