Emerald lake
Emerald lake is located in the Yoho National Park in British Columbia, Canada. It is the largest of the many lakes in the park.
It is surrounded by by mountain ranges and as the lake is at a low elevation, the wet weather is mainly caused by the moisture trapped in the valley like surroundings. The moist weather is most suitable for the propagation of interior forest trees and its vast varieties of flora plants.
There is a 5.2 km hiking trail around the lake. Hiking, biking and canoeing are some of the more popular outdoor activities for visitors to the national park.
