Snow capped Mount Robson
The Canadian Rockies is a range of mountains stretching from British Columbia in the west to Alberta in the east ( both provinces of Canada ) and Mount Robson which stand at 3954 m is the highest peak in the Rockies.
The cool and wet weather in this region result in moister soil, more glaciers and thus bigger rivers and lakes and water falls. And all these natural phenomenon are the essential components of the magnificent and beautiful landscapes of the Rockies.
There are five national parks located within the Rockies, some of them interlinked and interlocked with one another. The interlocked national parks constitutes the proclaimed world heritage site.
The Columbia ice field is one of the bigger accumulation of snowfall on the Rockies and it feeds several glaciers, one of them is the Athabasca glacier.
